Interactive Canvas
The interactive Unlost Canvas app supports various canvas and SWOT analyses. Use the Preseed Canvas (default, description here) to analyze startups and their progress. More...Goals: Reduce analysis time and increase investment decision confidence — first by structuring manual analysis, later by automating the process.
Angel investors: Fill the canvas with the information and insights you get in the different stages of interaction with a startup team: receiving a pitch deck, discussing in calls with the team, doing market analysis and discussing with other investors. In the end, there's a consolidated view of all information (including a score) that ideally leads to more confident investment decisions.
Founders: Fill the canvas to challenge yourself on the different aspects of your business and make yourself more attractive to investors.
Privacy: No data are sent to a server. It's all happening on your browser.
Future: Create an "AI junior analyst" who does the leg work: Automatically fill canvas using AI-based extraction from pitch deck and other documents. Incrementally add information and questions. The system does the research and answers what it knows. Server-side operations adhere to our strong data privacy policy.
Interact: Click (or tap) to interact with all parts of the canvas. Single click to edit cards, texts and scores, double-click (or long-click) on cell headings to get help, on a cell background to create a new card. Long-click on a card to drag and drop it. Remove all text from a card to remove that card. Add commands at beginning of the text: convert to... :! comment, :? question (later query), := analysis, :* emphasis, :- default.
Storage: You can load and save models to the browser's local storage (LS). Note that the data are not automatically deleted, so be careful about sensitive information. Models are stored by their names, the load menu allows deleting them. You can use Clear LS to remove all models from local storage. No information is stored on a server.
Canvas types: This app supports various canvas types: Business Model Canvas, Lean Canvas, Preseed Canvas and Product Vision Board. Use Canvas Type button to change.
Design: This application is client-only, currently working on custom AI backends to pre-analyze a pitch deck, perform RAG background analysis, auto-scoring according to custom investment criteria and other use cases like generating investment briefs. It is a prototype to collect user feedback. Development was done using "junior coding" by an LLM, realizing there needs to be a clear set of requirements and a high-level design as the LLM does not know the bigger picture. This also reflects on how the pitch deck analyzer will be realistically used: as a "junior analyst" that prepares a decision.
